IT'S NOT JUST A GUITAR

DON'T  LET  GO  OF  A  CLASSIC

When I hear someone say, "If you love something set it free and if it returns to you it was meant to be." The first thought that comes to my mind is, "That's a load of crap."  I would never think that. Especially when it comes to guitars. I owned a classic Gibson Jimi Hendrix Flying V. with his signature signed in gold. I sold that out of desperation...and it never came back. Then once again it happened. I owned another classic, a Steve Vai guitar, the one with the handle on it, the color was all wrong, but I didn't care. I just thought it was cool. Well, coolness had to go. That, like The Flying V.  never came back to me. Now, decades later, the price on both those guitars had ballooned to astronomical figures. As different as these two guitars are aesthetically, the sound was were it was at.  Either one of these guitars could melt the paint off walls, or make an angel cry. Once your hands were wrapped around either of these classic guitars it was like it was connected to your should. There was no shortness of inspiration.

Although when it came to playing the Gibson Jimi Hendrix Flying V. it could do anything. There wasn't a sound it couldn't find. When it came to the Steve Vai guitar, the handle was so cool, I almost didn't care how it sounded. It was definitely an attention grabber to say the least. The scallops on the neck would allow you to play at a higher rate of speed, pure guitar gymnastics. As versatile as both of these guitars are, they both gave you an endless variety of sounds.  Besides both of them being worth a small fortune, you should never part with anything when it comes to classics. A classic you hold onto. So when I hear someone say, "If you love something set it free and if it returns to you it was meant to be," I know I just had a conversation with a moron.
